Assembly District 13 – Sara Rodriguez

Who I am

I am a nurse, healthcare executive, public health professional, and recently launched my own consulting business. I have had a variety of leadership roles in almost all areas of the healthcare industry including as an Epidemic Intelligence Service Officer with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention where I was deployed to work on multiple national and international outbreak investigations. I am a Wisconsin native and graduated from Brookfield East High School before graduating with my Masters in Nursing and Masters in Public Health from Johns Hopkins University. I am a mother of two school-aged kids who attend public school and I love raising them here in Wisconsin

Why I am Running

I became a nurse to better serve my community and to help fix what wasn’t working for individuals where they live, work, and play. When I saw that Wisconsin was forced to choose between their health and their right to vote, I knew leadership had to change. We need expertise in all areas within the legislature to make data-driven decisions on how to keep our communities safe. I have significant experience in both the private and public sector and would bring common sense solutions to how we make decisions. I am a long time resident with strong ties to the community and I’d like to see Wisconsin return to a lead role in healthcare, industry, and community.
